Pizza Night

February 7, 2013

It’s funny how much life changes after college. Late nights in the library become late nights at the office. By the time Friday rolls around all you want to do is curl up with a good book.  Your idea of fun is suddenly running half marathons with friends and completing a DIY project you found on Pinterest. Cocktails and drinking games are traded in for wine and relaxation. I won’t lie, I don’t hate it.

One of the best things about life after college has been having two of my oldest friends from high school close by again. Without really intending to, we started a Thursday night tradition: pizza making and wine drinking. It’s basically the best thing ever. Last week, one of my friend’s co-workers nicknamed our weekly dinner, “Pizza Club” .. so I figured this was a legit thing and it was about time I blogged about it ;)

Pizza nights are filled with good conversations, lots of laughs, and much needed catching up time. (And pretty flowers..)

The wine is always step one, obviously.

Our pizzas are always filled will veggies! (My favorites are zucchini and red pepper)

The crust (from Whole Foods) is my favorite part! Yum!

The first time we made these pizzas mine stuck to the pan and we had to scrap it off with a knife piece by piece – we’ve come a long way since then! haha : )

What’s your favorite way to spend a night with friends?

Yum! That is a really awesome tradition to start! It’s nice to have a standing date like that! I miss the days of nights like that with my girlfriends, so soak them up!!

That sounds pretty ideal to me! I just spent a weekend away with some girls doing wedding shopping for my best friends wedding this summer and we went out for a couple of dinners and had wine but nothing extreme or over the top and we were always in bed by 11 at the latest. Oh how times have changed from when we used to go out for wine and appies AT 11 pm and then dance away at the bar all night!
