Successful People

January 15, 2013

I’m not really sure what “success” means, but I’m starting to learn it doesn’t necessarily have to do with credentials, fame or a high paying job. Success is much less tangible and might even look different for everyone or even the same person at different stages of life. That’s okay. It’s actually kind of cool.. if you think about it. One thing I do know about success is you have to work for it. You have to do the little things right and consistently. You have to want it.. bad.

This little infographic has been making it’s way around the interwebs, so I thought I’d share.. along with a few others. The first thing I thought when I read this was how much BLOGGING helps and pushes me do things under the “successful people” category – does this mean blogging helps me to be successful? ;)

”When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”

(I know I’ve shared this before but it never gets old.)

What are you waiting for? Go define your own success.

I love this. So simple and yet so profound. I think sometimes I often think of success as something that is yet to come. But being successful is a constant “struggle,” if you will. Like the quote says, success doesn’t come – you work for it. It never really arrives, and gee, one day you’re “successful,” whatever that means. Each day is a chance to grow your success bit by bit. And I’m so thankful it works that way too.

Love it. I do many of the things on the successful person list. I do at least one on the unsuccessful list, haha- that’s okay. Success for me is definitely a journey :)

Great post! You are so right – our definitions of success are as unique as the people coming up with those definitions. It means something different to each person – and it has meant something different to me as I have progressed through life. I love that firsts infographic and think it is so true!!

LOVE that video! Talk about inspiration! It’s so true – ”When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.” Everyone’s version of success is different but if we want it bad enough, we can get there.
