Hello! How’s everyone enjoying getting back to work and the regular routine? I’m struggling a bit getting back into the swing of things… I ambitiously scheduled a PT apt. early this morning before class, which I’m seriously regretting now.
But anyways, I’m back from Miami! It was awesome and super relaxing. I was there for five nights and four days, which was pretty perfect.. though I wouldn’t have minded another day or two ; )
This was my first time staying in Miami and I have to say.. I lovee South Beach. We walked on the boardwalk or along the wide beach every morning. It was a great place for my first two runs post-injury (more on this later!). We also ate delicious food, soaked in the views and embraced the Miami scene.
Our second day was a bit overcast so Kelly planned a boat cruise around Miami harbor and celebrity island! This was one of the highlights of the trip (once we actually got on the boat, that is, getting there was another story). We may have taken full advantage of the cash bar.. which seriously enhanced the experience..

I forget whose house this was… clearly someone famous.
Miami’s nightlife was definitely bopping and while it may not be my scene, it was a great spot for photos. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my tripod so excuse the blurriness : )
Overall, fun trip, great company, beautiful location.
Did you take any vacation time recently? If so, what did you do/where did you go?

Ooh it looks like you had so much fun! I went away last year during the holidays and had a blast, but this year we just stayed home. I had fun just at home, but looking at your pictures kinda makes me wish we’d gone on vacation again!
I love how all the pictures came out. Completely agree that the boat cruise was the highlight of the trip, and all the yummy restaurants and reading I got done haha. I wish I could somehow transfer that restaurant we went to your last night to Boston…
At least there is one in New York! That’s semi-close…
Those pictures are gorgeous and make me want to go on a vacation badly! I went to California in November, but that was mostly for work so I don’t count that as a vacation. I don’t have anything planned until July when I will go to Oregon for a friend’s wedding, but I might try to do a long weekend with my boyfriend in February or March. We’ll see!
Looks like a great vacation!! I went home for a few days after Christmas and even though it was the opposite of your vacation (cold, snow!) it was really lovely and relaxing! My next vacation is in February and I’m already majorly counting down the days!
