January 2013

It’s moments like yesterday that I’m completely giddy over the fact that this is my job. The fears and the doubts float away and I realize how right my decision was to pursue photography as a career. If only I had a magic eight ball to see the future, I could have saved myself from all that stress and worry a year ago, right?! Jen and Ron are newly engaged and pretty much rockstars in front of the camera. I’m just loving how these photos turned out : )

Winter Wedding Wonderland

January 30, 2013

Yesterday, I got the opportunity to take bridal portraits at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, MA. If you’re in the area and have never been, it’s a beautiful spot. The bride braved the cold and was absolutely stunning in her dress.

Nothing makes my heart melt quite like the color red in a white wintery scene…

January 29, 2013

Yoga Teacher Training {Week One}

January 28, 2013

I stepped out of the studio after Friday night’s training and tears instantly fill my eyes, “What was I doing here? I don’t even really want to be a yoga teacher!” Who knew you could be so anxious and shaky while doing 80+ sun salutations over and over? To say that I was taken off [...]

I’ll be the first to admit I love surfing Pinterest for that quote that makes me want to jump up and work out or signing up for a new course online that enhances my technical skills. The internet [...]

Three Day Weekends, City Views and Sunsets

January 22, 2013

I just had the best weekend. I spent the long weekend in New York City with Jimmy. It was absolutely gorgeous weather so we took advantage of it by going to the Top of the Rock (which we’ve already done, but not during the day), Central Park by the Loeb Boathouse, and Brooklyn Heights. There [...]

Studio Fun

January 21, 2013

Last week, we were in the studio learning how to properly light portraits — finally getting to my kinda photography! We all had a ton of fun being both behind the camera and in front of it. Surprisingly, I learned more being in front of the camera than behind it. It’s really helpful as a [...]

Imagine

January 18, 2013

“You cannot rely on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus.” – Mark Twain One goal of mine for 2013 is to partake in a monthly self-portrait project of sorts. I knew I wanted to do a year long photo project this year, but I wasn’t ready to commit to a 365-day project.. [...]

Running Tips for Beginners

January 17, 2013

I miss running.. a lot. I miss how it set the tone for my day or turned my day around. I miss how it got me outside, cleared my head, allowed me to wear cute workout clothes. I miss how it gave me something to strive for, to push myself, to discover what I’m made [...]
