Amber did this post last week and I thought this might be fitting since today will be my first run back from injury. As many of you know, I’ve been stuck with this injury for over a year now. For the past eight weeks, I’ve been devoting a ton of time and energy into Physical Therapy. Only two weeks ago, my PT told me I should go back to my doctor and get an MRI because there was little improvement after weeks of PT and rest. I made an appointment, but I also made two changes to my at-home treatment: heat morning and night, and fish oil supplements twice a day. Two weeks later, I swear my hip has done a 180. I have no idea what happened, but I’ll tell you I’m definitely not going to stop taking the fish oil. Monday, my PT cleared me to try alternating five minutes of walking with five minutes of running for 30 minutes three times this week and see how it feels. Beautiful Christmas present indeed : )
Three yoga poses that I love:
- Vriksasana (tree pose)
- Supta Baddha Konasana (goddess pose)
- Ardha Chandrasana (half moon)

Ps. I think you should try to give spinning a shot at some point. I really, really think you’d like it.
Yay for injury recoveries! I hope to follow suit… =/

Yea for your first run back – I hope you are feeling great after your run and that this injury is firmly behind you!
