Looking Forward {Summer Edition}

June 29, 2012

Happy Friday! I thought I’d continue the trend that Lisa, Kelly & Stephany have begun and give you all a looking forward post.

Today, I’m looking forward to trying out this circuit workout from Peace Love & Oats:

This week, I’m looking forward to leaving the city and heading to NH where I will spend an entire nine days relaxing on the lake. Growing up, this place has been my heaven, my happy place. However, these past two summers since I’ve been so far away in southern CT/NY, it’s been difficult to get up there for a quick weekend escape. So when I am up there, I soak it in as much possible! There will be fireworks, boat rides, wakeboarding, ice cream and more! And an added bonus is we don’t have internet and even cell phone service is spotty, which means over a week of being unplugged!

This month, I’m looking forward to continue working and learning at my job! [Nerd alert.] I’ve learned so much in my first month, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for month two. I’ve already been on two gorgeous weddings and I have plans to assist at at least a few more!

This year, I’m looking forward to all the surprises that the next year will bring. I already have some plans in the works regarding what to do when my summer internship is over. I’ll give you a hint: Boston. It’s fun because now I can actually start to plan all the things I imagined myself doing after college before I took the job in CT: lots of yoga with my sister, coaching little kids hockey, delicious family dinners, going out in Boston with friends, weekend trips to the Cape and NH. More about this later : )

What are you looking forward to this summer? Do you have any plans for the 4th?

Man, thank god you are coming home because I have gone to yoga probably like 3-4 times total this entire year and I think maybe every single time it’s been with you. Ha. Clearly I lack self motivation in this area.

Awesome pictures of Sunapee. I’m impressed you are staying at Sunapee for nine days. It’s been years since I was there that long and I could never handle it. I love the boat and everything, but I like the internet (obviously) and even more, I love yummy restaurants :) Then again, it’s pretty much the opposite of NYC so it will be a good break for you.

haha I know! I realized I haven’t been up there for that long in a while either. I don’t mind the lack of restaurants, A/C or internet at all : )

And yes, tons of yoga when I return!

Oh wow! Moving back to Boston? NYC wasn’t for you I guess?

Glad you are enjoying the job! I hope you have a great summer doing all these fun things :)

It’s really great to see you so excited about working again. That other job just sucked the life out of you – which I can totally relate to as I was in your shoes before. The tone of your posts is so much different!

Can’t wait to see what is in store for you! Another move????

Enjoy your time at the lake! I can’t wait to relax at my parents cabin!!!

I love the looking forward post idea – I just might write one for myself :) This summer I’m looking forward to getting my yoga teacher certification and going back home to see all of my best girlfriends!
